Resource Management and Environment Lawyer

Senior Resource Management & Environment Lawyer | Auckland CBD

This is a rare opportunity to join a respected NZ practice with a strong reputation for advising on significant environmental, planning and infrastructure matters.

The role
In this role you’ll take ownership of a diverse and stimulating caseload, including:

  • Resource consent strategy and applications
  • Advising on national and regional planning documents and legislative change
  • Environmental compliance and liability issues
  • Complex planning negotiations and stakeholder engagement
  • Strategic advice for corporate, development and public sector clients
You’ll work closely with senior advisers, enjoy direct client contact, and play a key part in shaping outcomes on matters that genuinely impact communities and environments.

About you
You will bring 7+ years’ PQE in resource management, planning or environmental law, with strong experience advising on resource consents and planning strategy. You’ll be confident managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution, exercising sound judgment and delivering clear, practical advice. Strong communication and client management skills are essential, along with a solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team.
