Employment Lawyer | 5+ Years | Auckland
The Opportunity
Our client's highly regarded employment team is looking for an experienced lawyer to join them.
Working closely with two Employment Partners, you'll advise a diverse range of clients on practical, commercially sound employment solutions. You'll have strong client contact and the autonomy to run your own work, along with the chance to build your reputation in the employment law market.
The work is broad and varied. It covers everyday advisory work, collective bargaining and union matters, restructures, workplace investigations, disciplinary and performance processes, personal grievances, mediation, and litigation.
You'll be involved in complex and high-profile matters. For the right person, there is a clear path to career progression within the practice.
What we are looking for
Our client is looking for an employment lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level, with around 5-7+ years' PQE.
You'll be a confident communicator with a client-focused approach. You'll be comfortable running your own matters while working as part of a close team, and you'll enjoy mentoring junior lawyers.
You will also bring:
- Strong technical skills, commercial judgement, and attention to detail
- Experience appearing in the Employment Relations Authority or Employment Court
- Initiative and sound judgement when matters move quickly
- A positive contribution to team culture
About the Firm
Our client offers quality work with direct client contact from the outset, and a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Salary:$110,000 - $150,000 + KiwiSaver. We recognise that experienced candidates may sit well above this range and encourage you to apply. Remuneration will reflect your level of experience.
