Our client is a well-regarded commercial firm with a strong, established presence in Sydney. They’re looking for an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer to join their growing Corporate, Commercial & IP team. You’ll work closely with senior Partners who will give you real ownership of your files and the mentoring to keep building your practice.
The work
The work is broad and genuinely interesting. You’ll handle business acquisitions and sales, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, corporate restructures and structuring, and financing and security work. You’ll also advise on day-to-day commercial matters for a varied mix of private, public and international clients. A standout feature of the role is the chance to build your intellectual property expertise, covering trade mark work and IP portfolio management, alongside your core corporate and commercial practice.
You
You’ll bring at least five years’ corporate and commercial experience, with strong drafting and negotiation skills across a wide range of agreements. You’ll also be confident running transactions and advising clients directly. An interest in IP and a desire to develop in that area will set you apart.
