We are looking for an experienced trusts, wills and estates lawyer to join a nationally and internationally recognised private client team at a leading mid-sized firm in Auckland City.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll advise a broad client base - from individuals and families through to large-scale property developers and international corporates. You will work across the full spectrum of private client work: trusts (including establishment, variation, restructuring, administration and winding up), wills, EPAs, estate administration (including complex and litigious estates), and trust disputes. You’ll also advise executors, trustees and beneficiaries on their rights, duties and obligations, and handle transactional property work arising from trust and estate matters, including transmissions, transfers and refinances.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience in trusts, wills and estates
• Strong drafting skills and the ability to run files autonomously
• STEP Diploma (or working towards it)
• A client-focused approach and the ability to build lasting referral relationships
