Legal Personnel sponsors the "Employer of Choice" award at the annual New Zealand Law Awards
Legal Personnel are proud sponsors of the 'Legal Personnel Employers Choice Award '
Congratulations to the winner: BLACKMANSPARGO RURAL LAW LIMITED
Lawyers now realise there is more to crafting a rewarding legal career than just clocking up billable hours or pulling in the dollars. Workplace culture, career opportunities and work-life balance are all important, and a healthy working environment contributes much to performance. This award honours the firm or organisation that best ensures that its legal employees know that they are vital members of a team, and that the culture of the firm or organisation promotes the growth and development of all who work there.
The Awards hold fast to the simple belief that recognition of excellence will inspire greater performance and that customer satisfaction is a measure of the quality of any organisation, regardless of size.
The Awards are organised by NZ Lawyer and supported by the Corporate Lawyers Association of New Zealand (CLANZ), The National Business Review and Lawyers Weekly.
Consumers of legal services and members of the profession were invited to nominate candidates and vote in a secret audited ballot driven by innovative online polling technology. As this was a democratic process, it was entirely optional for voters and those who nominated a candidate to participate. Over the course of several weeks, members of the profession – particularly in-house counsel but also other consumers of legal services such as managing directors, HR directors and senior managers – visited the website to vote in the 15 award categories.
The inaugural New Zealand Law Awards attracted more than 280 nominations and participation from hundreds of voters (firms, individuals and in-house counsel in public and private practice).
An outstanding achievement for the first year and a clear indication that New Zealand is ready to recognise and reward excellence in the legal profession.
We believe the results of the poll will add value to the legal services market for consumers and candidates alike.
